BEMIDJI, Minn. (Gillett Recreation-Fitness Center) -- The Bemidji State University tennis team swept Concordia College today in a nonconference match, 9-0. The Beavers are now 5-4 overall and 3-4 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
After doubles play BSU was already ahead, 3-0. All doubles matches ended in a score of 8-2 in Bemidji State’s favor.
The Bemidji State women’s tennis team's success continued into singles play as they took all six matches to complete the sweep over Concordia College. Both Shaylin Prout, at No. 1 singles, and Breann Walsh in the No. 6 singles spot, outscored their opponents 6-0, 6-0 for straight-set victories.
The Beavers take on University of Minnesota Crookston at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Grand Forks, N.D at Choice Health and Fitness.
