Bemidji, Minn. (Gillett Wellness Center) – The Bemidji State University women’s tennis team swept Minnesota State University Mankato, 7-0, at the Gillett Wellness Center.
The Beavers took the early lead by winning all three doubles matches and earning themselves the doubles point. BSU took the first three singles points with wins from Zoe Lindgren, Ariadna Lopez-Simo, and Hannah Alme. Brooke Mimmack, Breann Walsh, and Hannah Peterson each won, giving BSU the last three singles points, and the sweep over MSU.
Bemidji State improves their record to 6-5 and 3-4 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play. The Beavers will take on the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs Sunday at noon in the Gillett Wellness Center. BSU comes back to the Gillett after spring break to compete against University of Minnesota Crookston Mar. 24. This match begins at 1 p.m.
