In excess of 50 former BSU track and field members have signed up for the event. Topping off the list are All-American throwers Joe Remitz (2008) and Sheena Devine (2008) both will be in attendance displaying their National Championship awards. In addition, All-Americans Dan Frette (2001) and Steve Taflin (1978) will also be in attendance. Past Beaver Pride Student-Athletes of the Year Christa Pribula (2006) and Caesare Stimson (2004) will also be in uniform to take on the current Beavers.
The field events are set to begin at 3 p.m. As these events get underway the gun blast will signify the start of the mile run, and the rest of the events will follow.
At 3:40 p.m. Bucky the Beaver will make an appearance, all kids in attendance will have the opportunity to test their speed in a race with Bucky.
The 4 X 400 meter relay will take place at 5:15 p.m., which is the final event of the day. An awards ceremony will be held on the track immediately following the relay races.
To cap the evening all are invited to dinner at Walnut Hall at 7 p.m. Cost for dinner is $10.
The athletes will compete in a triangular format splitting up into three teams, which will be separated by freshman, upperclassmen, and alumni. ‘The Old Moldy Green’ team will be given time handicaps for the number of years they have been away from collegiate competition. Former track athletes will also be given bonus points for wearing old track and field uniforms, sweats, or letter jackets.
