The Bemidji State University track and field team gets back to action Saturday, Jan. 20 with relay events at the Twin Ports Invite held at University of Wisconsin-Superior.


Track & Field to host spaghetti dinner to benefit program scholarships

The Bemidji State University women’s indoor track and field team will host its second annual BSU Lion’s Club and Women’s Track and Field spaghetti dinner Sunday, Jan. 14 from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Bemidji Eagles Club. All profits from the dinner go toward Beaver Women’s Track and Field scholarships.


Freshmen break BSU indoor track & field records at The Opener Saturday

Freshmen Cheri’A Adams and Venice Stewart broke Bemidji State University indoor track and field records Saturday in the team’s first full meet at The Opener in Duluth, Minn. Adams broke the school record in the long jump while Stewart set the program mark in the 60m dash.

The Bemidji State University track and field team ramps up the 2017-18 indoor season with The Opener held Saturday, Dec. 9 in Duluth, Minn. College of St. Scholastica hosts the event from the Burns Wellness Commons in the Beavers’ second event of the indoor season.


Benson leads BSU Track and Field at SDSU Holiday Open and Multi

Junior Christa Benson set a personal best in the pentathlon to lead the way for the Bemidji State University track and field team Friday at the South Dakota State University Holiday Open and Multi in Brookings, S.D. Benson set her personal best score of 2,926 in the women’s pentathlon while three Beaver freshmen also took part in the events.


Bemidji State selected 13th in NSIC Preseason Coaches’ Poll

The Bemidji State University women’s indoor track and field team was selected to finish 13th in the 2017-18 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, released Thursday. Junior Kelsey Hurley (field) and freshman Venice Stewart (track) were picked as BSU’s Athletes to Watch.


Beavers begin 2017-18 indoor track and field season Friday at SDSU Holiday Open and Multi

The Bemidji State University track and field team will open the 2018 indoor season by traveling to Brookings, S.D., Friday, Dec. 1 for the South Dakota State University Holiday Open & Multi. The events will begin at 1:15 p.m. at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex with the women’s pentathlon.


Beavers to host annual Turkey Trot 5K and one mile run Saturday

The annual Bemidji State University Turkey Trot will be held Saturday, Nov. 25 with a 5K run and one mile run for kids. The races will begin and end in front of the BSU Gillett Recreation Center.


Barnes signs NLI to join Beaver Track and Field in 2018-19

Bemidji State University track and field Head Coach Kevin Kean announced the addition of Briyana Barnes to the 2017-18 recruit class. Barnes, from Milwaukee, Wis., is the sixth freshman to commit to Beaver Track and Field starting in the 2018-19 season.


Five athletes commit to Beaver Track & Field during early-signing period

The Bemidji State University track and field program will see five newcomers join the squad as the early-signing period came to a conclusion Wednesday. Head Coach Kevin Kean announced the addition of two sprinters, two throwers and one vaulter/hurdler for the recruiting class of 2017-18.
