BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University track and field program is set to compete at the University of North Dakota Indoor Tuneup Saturday, Feb. 17 at UND Athletics High Performance Center in Grand Forks, N.D.

For the full list of events at the UND Indoor Tuneup, click the “List of Events” link to the right of this page. The meet’s events begin at 10 a.m. with the field events. The running events will take place starting at 11:30 a.m.

Junior Christa Benson, junior Kelsey Hurley and sophomore Kristen Petron each placed within the top 15 of their respective events Friday, Feb. 9 during the first day of the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D. The Beavers had student-athletes take part in the running events of 60m dash preliminaries, 600m run, 200m dash, 600m run and 1000m run, and the field events of weight throw, shot put, high jump, and long jump.

Freshman Aneesa Tucker finished with a time of 2:23.32 in the 800m run, ahead of Petron who recorded a time of 2:34.61 to begin day two of the SDSU Classic. Also competing in the 800m run was freshman Ashley Kinnard, who finished in 2:38.62, and senior Amanda Anderson, who recorded a time of 2:45.51. The one-mile run was also completed Saturday afternoon by freshman Brittny Hillstrom (5:40.63), freshman Ashley Herdering (6:31.43) and junior Courtney Anderson (6:58.11).

The final event for the Beavers on the day was the triple jump, as freshman Cheri’A Adams finished 10th with a mark of 36-feet-00.25-inches and freshman Analise Fabre recorded a mark of 30-06.50.

Benson, Hurley and freshman Libby Christenson also took part in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Multi Championships Sunday, Feb. 11, each setting personal records in the pentathlon. Benson finished sixth in the meet with a score of 3,182. Hurley followed in eighth with a mark of 3,118 and Christenson finished 16th with a score of 2,755.

Bemidji State heads to Mankato, Minn., to complete the NSIC Indoor Championships, while entering the event with four total points. Benson, Hurley and Christenson secured BSU’s four points at the NSIC Multi Championships earlier this month.
