MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Sophomore Gena Baklund continues to break her program record for the Bemidji State University women’s track and field team as the squad competed at the Cobber Twilight. Twelve Beaver personal record marks set with five top-five finishes in Moorhead, Minn.

Baklund topped her previous school record in the hammer throw with a toss of 157-feet-1-inches and a sixth-place finish. She has broken the BSU school record in the previous three meets participated in.

Freshman Venice Stewart led BSU with a second-place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 12.30. Freshman Cheri’A Adams was one of several Beavers to set personal record marks, setting bests with a third-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 35-8 and a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 17-2.25.

Bemidji State continues its schedule Friday at the Ron Masanz Classic held in Moorhead, Minn.
