Sickle Cell Trait Test Mandate: The NCAA mandates all Division I and Division II student-athletes be tested for Sickle Cell Trait. If you are a returning student-athlete the athletic training staff will have this on file. As a NEW incoming student-athlete you will need to have this test done or the results of those test could be obtained from the hospital you were born in. |
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: If you have been diagnosed with ADHD and are currently taking medication the NCAA requires you to have your attending physician fill out the attached document. The document then needs to be sent to the athletic training staff at Bemidji State University so they can keep it in your file. This document is needed in case you are selected for random drug testing while participating in intercollegiate sports. |
COVID-19 Requirements: With the emergence of COVID-19, there will be some changes (and continued changes per CDC and MN Department of Health). Upon return to campus, you will be required to fill out a health questionnaire specific to COVID-19. This is to be handed in before participation. This questionnaire is to be filled out within 24 hours of returning to campus. It is the athlete's duty to report signs/symptoms of illness and to stay home when sick. You can find more information on COVID-19 at http://www.bemidjistate.edu/coronavirus. |
