BEMIDJI, Minn. -- BSU Baseball Field opens its 2017 schedule this week as Bemidji State University baseball hosts Concordia University-St. Paul and University of Sioux Falls in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference games. The Beavers and Golden Bears begin the week with a doubleheader Thursday, March 30 while the Beavers and Cougars play two doubleheaders Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2.

Bemidji State Overview

  • Bemidji State went 3-3 over its last weekend of action against University of Minnesota Duluth and Winona State University.
  • The Beavers dropped two non-conference games to the Bulldogs Thursday, March 23 at US Bank Stadium, 16-3 and 6-1.
  • BSU won the series against WSU, 3-1, while winning the final three games of the series. After an 8-3 loss to Winona State, Bemidji State closed with 5-2, 6-1 and 4-2 wins at Loughrey Field.

  • Three of the Beavers’ four starting pitchers against Winona State threw at least 6.0 innings while the entire pitching staff totaled a 2.32 ERA.
  • Junior Connor McNallan threw his second consecutive complete game in game two while seniors Ryan Fransen and Jack Stigman each totaled seven strikeouts in their winning starts.
