Rain threat moves Beavers/Mavericks series up one day

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- A threat of rain has pushed the four-game series between Bemidji State University and No. 19 Minnesota State University Mankato up one day to Friday and Saturday at BSU Baseball Field in Bemidji, Minn.

The Beavers (13-23, 10-14 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) and No. 19 Mavericks (30-7, 25-3 NSIC) will play at 3 and 5 p.m. Friday with 1 and 3 p.m. start times for Saturday/

Bemidji State is coming off a doubleheader split Wednesday to Minot State University. MiSU took the first game of the day, 5-2, while BSU came back to win game two, 5-4.

The Beavers are currently 12th in the NSIC standings with 14 games remaining in the regular season schedule. The top eight teams qualify for the NSIC postseason tournament with Winona State University holding the final spot at 12-14 in conference action.
