BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University baseball head coach Tim Bellew has announced the program’s 2019 schedule. The Beavers begin the season Feb. 28 before their spring trip March 6-11 in Arizona and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opener March 16.

The 68th season of BSU baseball will open with a non-conference matchup against Pittsburg State University (February 28) in Pittsburg, Kan. BSU will then play two seven-inning doubleheaders versus Rockhurst (March 2-3) with a 12 p.m. start time for both days. BSU will head to Arizona for its spring trip with four games to be announced at a later date in Tucson, Ariz. (March 6-9) and two games in Phoenix, Ariz., against Arizona Christian University and Ottawa University March 11.

The Beavers will begin conference play on the road with a three-game series against Augustana University March 16-17. BSU will then head down to Nebraska to take on Wayne State College in a doubleheader March 20. The road trip will wrap up with a doubleheader at Barnes Field against Concordia University-St. Paul March 27 before finishing the month of March with the BSU home opener, a 10-game homestand and a three-game series versus Minnesota State University, Mankato March 30-31.

During the month of April, Bemidji State will continue the conference schedule against Winona State University (April 3), University of Sioux Falls (April 6-7), Upper Iowa University (April 10), Southwest Minnesota State University (April 13-14) and wrapping up its 10-game homestand with a doubleheader versus St. Cloud State University (April 16).

The season continues on the road at Northern State University (April 19-20), at University of Mary (April 24), at home against University of Minnesota Crookston (April 27-28), at Minot State University (May 1), and the season finale at Minnesota Duluth (May 3-5).

The Beavers will attempt to qualify for the conference tournament for the first time since 2013, which will be held May 5-11 in St. Cloud, Minn. The NCAA Midwest Regional will be held May 16-20 with the host site yet to be announced. The NCAA World Series will be held May 25 through June 1 in Cary, N.C.

Head Coach Tim Bellew enters his 14th season with Bemidji State. Bellew is BSU’s second winningest coach all-time with 210 wins.
