BEMIDJI, Minn. - Bemidji State senior offensive tackle Blaine Thomas (Williams, Minn.) has been named Second-Team All-Northwest Region by Cornerback Torry Joubert (Port Arthur, Texas) and wide receiver Michael Nordyke (Ukiah, Calif.), both seniors, were named honorable-mention All-Region and BSU head coach Jeff Tesch was named honorable mention regional Coach of the Year.

Two Bemidji State gridders named Academic All-District

BEMIDJI, Minn. - Bemidji State senior offensive tackle Blaine Thomas (Williams, Minn.) and senior linebacker Mitch Feierabend (Brainerd, Minn.) have been named to the 2004 College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District V Team. Thomas earned second-team honors while Feierabend was named to the third team.

Bemidji State lands school-record nine on 2004 All-NSIC Team

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Three Bemidji State football players were named First-Team All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, headlining a school-record group of nine players named to the All-NSIC team as announced today by the league office. Bemidji State’s nine First- and Second-Team All-NSIC honorees surpasses the previous school record of eight players (four First-Team and four Second-Team) set in 1998. The six Second-Team honorees in 2004 is also a school record, surpassing the record of five set in 1999.

Bemidji State ranked 11th in NCAA Northwest Region

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State football team has been ranked 11th in the latest release of the NCAA Division II Northwest Regional Rankings, released by the Association on Oct. 4. It marks Bemidji State’s first appearance in the rankings this season, and is the program’s first regional ranking since ending the 2000 season ranked No. 9 in the region.
