BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Registration is now open for the annual War on the Shore fishing tournament hosted by the Bemidji State University football program, which will be held July 17, 2021. The tournament has been expanded to local and national participation with cash prizes and other merchandise to be handed out.
The tournament features two divisions, local and national, with local participants fishing in Beltrami, Hubbard or Cass County. National participants can fish any lake with target species of walleye and northern pike. The tournament will be held from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. central time with a social, dinner, award ceremony and silent auction to be held from 4-8 p.m. at Ruttger’s Birchmont Lodge in Bemidji, Minn.
The cost to enter is $300 per boat with a maximum of three people per boat. Prizes for the local participants will be award to the top three teams with $2,000 to first place, $1,000 to second place, $500 to third place and $200 to the biggest walleye. The national division prize is 50% pay-out of all national division registrants.
