Neil Linhart begins his first season as an assistant coach after serving two seasons at BSU as graduate assistant. His primary responsibility will remain to oversee the wide receivers.
In his first season, Linhart guided Second-Team All-NSIC pick Andrew Schultz, who led the squad in receiving yards with 258, while adding four touchdowns.
Schultz was the top receiver for BSU in 2010 after he recorded 29 receptions for 365 yards and four touchdowns. His efforts garnered First-Team All-NSIC honors as a spot on All-Region Three Third Team by Don Hansen’s Football Gazette. He also surpassed 1,000 career receiving yards during the season.
Linhart came to BSU after a two-year stint on the Eureka College (Ill.) coaching staff. He began his time at Eureka as wide receiver coach in 2007 before being promoted to the offensive coordinator post in 2008.   Under Linhart’s direction, Eureka climbed to 23rd nationally in rushing yards per game, while it occupied the 48th spot in total yards per contest and set a school record for points per game.
A four-year letter winner at wide receiver, Linhart graduated from Millikin University in the spring of 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science with a sports management emphasis.
A native of Frankfort, Ill., he was a football and baseball letterwinner at Lincoln-Way East High School.
