2011 (Jr): Played in nine games for the Beavers at tight end and on special teams... Caught one pass for seven yards... Made one special teams tackle on punt coverage... Brought in his reception at No. 16 Augustana (Sept. 10) and recorded a solo tackle at Upper Iowa (Oct. 1).
An extension of the offensive line that has guided the second best rushing attack (No. 13 nationally) in the league for 241.5 yards per game... Helped protect quarterback Lance Rongstad as the Beavers ranked first in the NSIC and No. 6 in the nation in sacks allowed (.91 sacks allowed per game).
2010 (So): Played in nine games and started one at the tight end/fullback position.
Was an extension of an offensive line that paved the way for a Beaver offense that averaged 334.1 yards and 25.2 points per game... The unit opened holes for a BSU running attack that went over 200 yards five times, including twice over 300 yards... Protected quarterback Derek Edholm as he averaged 144.1 yards through the air and connected with BSU wide receivers for 15 touchdowns.
2009 (Fr): Opened the season as a reserve defensive lineman... Saw action in the first three games of the season on the defensive side of the ball before making the shift to fullback in October... Was in the offensive backfield for four games down the stretch... Paved the way for starting running back Dustin Kroeplin to post 100-yards in three of the final four contests... Was a weapon in the passing attack out of the backfield catching five passes for 57 yards and a touchdown... Registered his first collegiate touchdown on a 14-yard reception in a victory over U-Mary (10/31/09).
2008 (RS): Sat out entire season as a redshirt.
Prior to BSU: Captained the football and basketball teams at May-Port CG High School... Recorded a career-high 105 tackles as a senior while he anchored an offensive line that produced two 1,000-yard rushers during his four-year prep football career... A two-time all-state selection at linebacker was invited to participate in the North Dakota Shrine game in 2007... The three-sport standout helped his basketball team to a pair of state tournament appearances, while he qualifying for the state track and field meet in two events.
