2015 (Sr): Was named to the 2015 NSIC North Division All-Conference Second Team Defense... Played in 11 games and led the team defense with three forced fumbles, ranked second in tackles for a loss with nine… Totaled 35 tackles including three sacks for a loss of 21 yards… Recorded career-highs in tackles (6), sacks (2), and tackles for a loss (2) at MSU Moorhead (Oct. 17).
2014 (Jr): Played in all 11 games, starting one at defensive line... Totaled a career high 18 total tackles (8 solo, 10 assisted) along with one tackle for a loss (-1 yard), one forced fumble and one pass break up... Had a career high four tackles at U-Mary (Oct. 4).
2013 (So): Played in seven games as a reserve on the defensive line… Totaled nine tackles (four solo)… Posted 3.5 tackles for loss (-15 yards) to tie for eighth on the team… Added a half sack (-4 yards)… Forced two fumbles to tie for the second most in the NSIC.
Recorded a career-high two solo tackles which contributed to a career-best three total tackles versus Concordia-St. Paul (Sept. 14)… Added first-career tackle for loss (-2 yards) versus the Golden Bears… Established a career-high in tackles for loss (1.5, -6 yards), recorded first-collegiate sack (-4 yards) and forced the first fumble of his career versus No. 7 Minnesota Duluth (Oct. 26)… Totaled two tackles, one of which went for loss (-7 yards) at MSU Moorhead (Nov. 9)… Posted a solo tackle and forced a fumble in the season-finale at Minot State (Nov. 16).
2012 (Fr): Saw the field in nine games as a reserve on the defensive line... Recorded one tackle, a solo effort, against Upper Iowa (Aug. 31)... Made his collegiate debut in the season opener against the Peacocks.
2011 (RS): Sat out entire season as a redshirt.
Prior to BSU: A versatile lineman for Chippewa Falls High School, Stephens played both sides of the ball and earned first team all-country and second team all-conference offense honors... Helped the Cardinals to a 6-4 overall and 5-2 Big Rivers Conference record and a trip to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) playoffs his senior year... Guided a 1,000-plus yard rusher and a 1,000-plus yard quarterback his senior season where the team averaged 25.1 points per game... Earned three letters in football and one in basketball.
