2014 (Sr): Played in all 11 gsmes as punter... Compiled 2,528 punting yards with an average of 33.3 yards per punt... Had 19 punts downed inside the 20 yard line along with 18 fair catches, four touchbacks and three punts that went for 50 yards or more... Career-high punt of 59 yards came versus Minnesota Crookston (Oct. 11)... Had two games with 10 punts each... Racked up 1,198 kickoffs yards along with an average of 49.9 yards per kick and one touchback.

2013 (Jr): Played in four games on special teams and as a back-up defensive back.

2012 (So): Saw the field in two games... Made his collegiate debut at St. Cloud State Oct. 27.

Prior to BSU: A standout on the football field and wrestling mat at Chequamegon High, Wakefield lettered in both football and wresting... Piled up over 600 yards on the ground as a quarterback last fall... Earned Second-Team All-Marawood Conference accolades as a signal caller and place kicker... Ran for 891 yards at Park Falls High School as a junior... Was 11-of-12 on PATs and converted both field goal attempts... Collected second-team all-conference honors at quarterback and kicker... Was a second-team all-conference wrestler as a junior... Is a member of the National Honor Society, the Chequamegon High Honor Roll and Who’s Who National Honor Roll... Is the younger brother of former Bemidji State wide receiver Beau Wakefield (2008-12).
