2017 (Sr): Played in nine games this season totaling 14 total tackles... Recorded seven assisted and seven solo tackles... Recorded two pass breakups this season... 2017 Fall Academic All-NSIC Team.

2016 (Jr): Played in 11 games recording 2 fumble recoveries, 1 quaterback hurry, and 1 broken up pass... Totaled 33 tackles including 19 solo tackles... Set career highs in assisted tackes in one game with 4 at St. Cloud State (Oct. 29). Played in the 2016 Mineral Water Bowl game where the Beavers beat Washburn 36-23, being the first team in program history to win a post-season game. 

2015 (So): Played in 11 games recording career-highs in every category on defense this season… Totaled 39 tackles including 23 solo tackles... Broke up two passes… Recorded his first career sack for a lost of eight yards at MSU Moorhead (Oct. 7). 

/2014 (Fr): Played in 10 games at linebacker and on special teams... Totaled nine total tackles (4 solo, 5 assisted) along with 2.0 tackles for a loss (-4 yards) and one pass break up... Recorded two tackles in his first college game at Wayne State (Sept. 6)... Had a career high three tackles at Upper Iowa (Sept. 20).

2013 (RS): Redshirted.

Prior to BSU: Helped guide Lakeville South High School to a pair of state appearances during his career… Named captain by his teammates, he totaled 11 touchdowns in his final prep season to earn all-conference honorable mention honors… A three-sport athlete, has earned letters in football, basketball and track… Is an honor roll student.

Personal: Born May 7, 1994… Son of Brad and Sonya Johnson… Proposed industrial technology/applied engineering major at BSU… Father, Brad, played basketball at South Dakota School of Mines and aunt Kris played basketball at Northern State University.
