2015 (Sr): Named to the NSIC North Division All-Conference First Team Defense for the second time in his career... Named Team Defensive MVP... Played in 11 games… Finished second on the team on defense and 16th in the NSIC with a total 82 tackles for a career high in a single season… Recorded four sacks for a loss of 36 yards ranking third on the team… Added seven tackles for a loss… Captained the Beaver defense that ranked third in the NSIC in scoring with 19.1 points allowed per game… Broke up a career high three passes.
2014 (Jr): An All-NSIC Second Team selection... Started all nine games before missing the final two games of the season... Was second on the team with 79 total tackles (32 solo, 47 assisted) which was eighth in the conference... Finished with 13 tackles for a loss (-48 yards) which was second on the team and was eleventh in the conference... Recorded three sacks along with one fumble recovery, one quarterback hurry and one pass break up... Recorded ten or more tackles four times... Posted a career-high 12 tackles at U-Mary (Oct. 4) along with a career high 1.5 sacks... Posted another career-high three tackles for a loss at St. Cloud State (Nov. 1).
2013 (So): Played in 11 and started nine games at inside linebacker… Finished sixth on the team with 60 tackles (23 solo)… The 37 assisted tackles also ranked third… Compiled a career-high 6.5 tackles for loss (fifth at BSU) that pushed the opposing offense back 18 yards… Added two sacks (-6 yards) to tie for fourth on the squad.
Recorded nine or more tackles three times… Posted a career-high 11 tackles (four solo) versus Southwest Minnesota State (Sept. 28)… Racked-up 10 tackles (one solo) with one tackle for loss (-3 yards) versus U-Mary (Oct. 12)… The nine assisted tackles was a career-best… Totaled nine tackles, which included a career-high seven solo efforts, with a career-best two tackles for loss (-5 yards) at MSU Moorhead (Nov. 9)… Tallied his first collegiate sack at Augustana (Sept. 21).
2012 (Fr): Played in all 11 games... Totaled 10 tackles (five solo)... Recorded one tackle for loss... Half of tackles came on special teams coverage (three kickoff, two punt) to rank fifth on the team in special teams tackles... Compiled at least two tackles on three occasions, which included a season-high three tackles (two solo) against MSU Moorhead (Nov. 3)... Made collegiate debut in the season opener against Upper Iowa (Aug. 31).
2011 (RS): Sat out entire season as a redshirt.
Prior to BSU: Blascyk was West Central Area High School’s top quarterback and defensive back... Earned all-conference honors his junior and senior seasons and was awarded most valuable quarterback by the Heart O’Lakes Conference... On the offensive side of the ball he racked up 865 yards rushing, 2,928 yards passing and totalled 27 touchdowns in his career... As a defensive back he led the team in tackles with 74 his senior year... Was named by his teammates as the squad’s most valuable defensive back, offensive back and offensive player... The 10-time letter winner was captain of the Knights football and basketball teams his senior year... He earned all-conference honorable mention in basketball his junior season.
