Nick Anderson joins the Bemidji State football program as an assistant coach in 2021 with primary responsibility on the running backs. Anderson joins BSU after eight years of coaching experience within the collegiate and high school levels.

Anderson served as the varsity special teams coordinator and running backs coach at Little Rock Christian Academy from March 2020 until May 2021. He coached the number one ranked kicker/punter in the state of Arkansas, who committed to play at Baylor University. Anderson helped LRCA to a 5A Class State Championship Runner-Up finish in 2020.

Anderson previously served as the running backs coach and special teams analyst at Troy University from August 2017 until January 2020. He coached two All-Sun Belt Conference team members, including a 2018 Ray Guy Trophy Semifinalist and 2019 Sun Belt Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. The Trojans compiled a record of 26-12 from 2017-19 and earned the 2017 New Orleans Bowl Championship, 2017 Sun Belt Conference Championship and 2018 Dollar General Bowl Championship. Troy's special teams efficiency was ranked number one in the nation by ESPN following the 2018 season.

Anderson held the title of assistant running backs coach during a brief stint at Samford University in 2017. Prior to joining the Bulldogs, he spent five seasons coaching at the high school level as an assistant coach at Brook Junior High School (2015-17) and Bob Jones High School (2010-12). Anderson helped lead BJHS to three straight region titles before moving into the business world for three years before working as an offensive consultant at Madison Academy.

Anderson began his collegiate playing career at Carson Newman (2007) before transferring to the University of Alabama-Birmingham (2008-10) where he was named the Blazer's scout team player of the year in 2009. He graduated from the University of Alabama-Huntsville with a degree in marketing in 2013.
