Junior Adam Daley Garners Player of the Week Award

Minneapolis, Minn. - In helping Bemidji State to two conference victories over the weekend, junior guard Adam Daley (Des Moines, Iowa) has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week as announced by the conference office today.

Daley led six Beavers in double-figures with 14 points in the 99-59 win on Friday against Minnesota-Crookston. He was an efficient four of seven from the field with all field goals being of the three-point variety. He followed that scoring output with 17 points, which tied a career-high, in Saturday’s 89-60 win over league-leader MSU Moorhead. This time, he was five of six from behind the arc as the made three-pointers set a career-high. Daley has gone four games this season with at least four three-pointers.

On the weekend, Daley was 10 of 15 (66.7 percent) from the field, including nine of 12 (75.0 percent) in three-pointers, two of two (100.0 percent) from the free throw line, grabbed six rebounds, totaled 31 points for an average of 15.5 points in the two NSIC wins. His five three-pointers on Saturday tied for the eight highest output this season in the conference while his percentage (83.3 percent) from long-range is tied for first.

On the season, Daley ranks first in the league in three-point accuracy as he has hit on 29 of 57 (50.9 percent) of his shots. Also, he is tied for 30th in the NSIC with a 9.5 points per game average. Among his teammates, Daley is first in three-point percentage, three-pointers, third in field goal percentage (51.8 percent) and fourth in scoring.

The Beavers travel to Minnesota-Duluth (5-8, 1-3) this Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. start-time. UM-D lost to MSU-Moorhead, 71-67 on Friday before taking down Minnesota-Crookston, 90-61 on Saturday.
