The Beavers [Game Notes]
The Beavers are 3-1 after going on the road and picking-up a 70-57 victory at University of Wisconsin-Stout. The victory made three in a row for the Beavers with their one loss coming to No. 10 Metropolitan State College in the season opener Nov. 11.
Senior Bryce Tesdahl led the team in scoring with 15 points, while adding six rebounds and five assists. The Beavers shot over 50 percent for the first time this season with a 50.9 percent clip. BSU also outrebounded an opponent for the first time this season, 39-23.

• BSU has made at least five 3-pointers in all four games this season. They have 27 3-pointers this season, an average of 6.8 threes per game.
• The Beavers have used four different starting line-ups this season.
• BSU has held its opponents to 38.2 percent shooting from the field this season.

The Beavers [Game Notes]
The Beavers (1-4) are located in Minot, N.D. and are in transition to NCAA Division II and will join the NSIC for the 2012-13 season. MSU went 0-2 to start the season at the Dixie State Classic in St. George, Utah. The Beavers lost to Colorado Mesa University 67-51 and Dixie State College 79-60. MSU has sense got a little taste of future NSIC action with games against Upper Iowa University (L, 79-38) and Winona State University (L, 98-76). The Beavers got their first win of the season Nov. 22 at University of Mary in double overtime by the score of 92-88. MSU is led by Jonas Pollard’s 16.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.

All-Time Series vs the Beavers
BSU is 6-3 (.667) all-time against its fellow Beavers, with the last contest between the teams coming Dec. 8, 1990. Bemidji State won that game 90-83. BSU is 3-2 in the last five meetings and are 3-1 in home games.

The Huskies
[Game Notes]
The Huskies bring a 1-2 record into the BSU Gymnasium after facing-off against two NSIC teams and Wisconsin-Parkside at home in Houghton, Mich. MTU fell to University of Minnesota Duluth Nov. 12 81-80 before downing reigning NSIC regular season champion Minnesota State University, Mankato 74-63 Nov. 19. Mike Hojnacki led the team in scoring against the Mavericks with 18 points on 8-of-13 (61.5%) from the field.  He is the team’s leading scorer through three games with 14.3 points per game. The Huskies entertained UW-Parkside Nov. 22 before trekking to Bemidji, falling 73-72.

All-Time Series vs the Huskies
The Beavers and Huskies have a storied history dating back to 1946. Bemidji State leads the all-time series 36-17 (.679), but have struggled as of late, falling in the last six games. The Huskies called the Northern Intercollegiate Conference (NIC) home from 1958 to 1980, competing against the Beavers as conference foes during that period. BSU traveled to Houghton, Mich. last season for its season opener and fell 101-88. Ellisor scored 25 points and added five rebounds in the game, which was his regular-season debut in the green and white.

Fellow NSIC member Southwest Minnesota State University is also taking part in the Classic. SMSU will host Michigan Tech at 5 p.m. Nov. 25 and Minot State Nov. 26 at 5 p.m.

The Mustangs [Game Notes]
The Mustangs have played just one game entering the weekend as they fell to Wisconsin-Milwaukee 71-65 Nov. 12. SMSU was led by Jordan Miller’s 16 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in the loss. The Mustangs shot 43.1 percent from the field in the game. SMSU was tabbed eighth in the NSIC Preseason Coaches’ Poll with 78, four points behind the Beavers (82 points). The Mustangs’ preseason player to watch is Miller after he averaged 13.8 points and 4.4 rebounds last season.
