ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Sanford Health Basketball Tournament will be aired live on Midcontinent Sports Network March 3-4 from Taylor Arena in Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minn. All semifinal and final games for the men’s and women’s tournament will be on MidcoSN2, channel 322 in Bemidji. On the men’s side, play-by-play will be announced by Jay Elsen and the color commentator will be Minnesota State University, Mankato men’s basketball head coach Matt Margenthaler.
Fans who do not subscribe to Midcontinent Communications can follow the action live via the Internet and radio. All the games will stream live on New Media TV at www.pennatlantic.com for free. The Bemidji State men’s basketball games will be on 92.1 The River in the Bemidji listening area and online at www.beaverradionetwork.com, with play-by-play from Mark Ricci. The top-seeded Beavers (22-7) are in the NSIC/Sanford Health Men’s Basketball Tournament semifinals in Rochester, Minn. March 3. BSU will battle No. 4 seed Minnesota State University Moorhead at 2:30 p.m. at Taylor Arena. The Beavers earned a 57-53 first round victory Feb. 29 against Wayne State College to improve to 6-0 in a home first round playoff game in NSIC tournament history (since 2000) and have appeared in five semifinal games (0-5).
