Albrecht announces signing to Beaver Men’s Basketball

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University men’s basketball Head Coach Mike Boschee announced that Grafton, N.D., native Dalton Albrecht has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the program beginning with the 2019-20 season.

Albrecht’s acceptance is contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

“We are excited to have Dalton join the BSU basketball program,” Boschee said. “He comes from a great family and will fit in well with our guys with his work ethic and character. He will provide us with a long-skilled forward that can really shoot it. We are excited to see his progress over the years because he has such a high ceiling.”

Dalton Albrecht, a 6-foot-7-inch forward from Grafton, N.D., is a four-time letter winner in basketball at Grafton High School under head coach Riley Lillemoen. He scored his 1,000th career point during his junior year before becoming a North Dakota All-State Second Team selection while averaging 20 points and 11 rebounds per game. Albrecht helped the Spoilers to the North Dakota State Tournament during the 2015-16 season as well as a regional championship during the 2017-18 season. He was an All-Region Two selection after his sophomore and junior seasons.

Albrecht is also a letter winner in football, golf and track as well as being an honor roll student. He was born Aug. 8, 2000 and is the son of Darren and Gayle Albrecht. He is currently undecided on a major at BSU.
