Men’s Basketball Beaver Summer Skills Academy scheduled for six sessions

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- The Bemidji State University men’s basketball program has announced its summer Beaver Skills Academy schedule for 2020. The Beaver Skills sessions will be held over six dates between July and August.

The sessions will run from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays between July 27 and August 12 at the BSU Gymnasium and are limited to the first 26 to register. Coaches Mike Boschee, Michael Iseman and Tim Wagner along with current BSU basketball student-athletes, will teach a variety of essential basketball skills.

The cost for all six sessions is $85 while five sessions is $75. All participants will receive a t-shirt and a Beavers basketball.

Beaver Men’s Basketball will be following COVID safety guidelines throughout the skill sessions. Each participant must bring their own water bottle, hand sanitizer and a basketball. No parents are allowed in the gym except for pick-up and drop-off, and must enter and exit through the marked doorways. All skill work will be in small groups.

Prior to arriving to the camp, everyone must self-evaluate COVID symptoms including cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose/congestion, fatigue, fever and loss of taste or smell. BSU staff will also complete symptom checks on participants before they can enter the gym.
