Men’s and Women’s Basketball announce summer camp schedule

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University men’s and women’s basketball has announced their summer camp schedule. Women’s basketball will host three camps between June and July while men’s basketball will host seven camps over numerous dates between June, July, and August.

Beaver Women’s Basketball will host three camps between June and July. The Elite Camp is scheduled for June 27 for participants entering grades 8-12 and will run from 12:30-4:30 p.m. The Junior Beavers Camp and Skills Training Camp are scheduled for July 18-21. The Junior Beavers Camp is intended for children entering grades K-5 and will run from 8:30-10:30 a.m. The Skills Training Camp is for grades 6-8 and will run from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. each day.

The camps will be directed by BSU Head Women’s Basketball Coach Chelsea DeVille, assistant coaches Jamie Schultz and Erica Gartner, and current BSU student-athletes. The Elite Camp is designed for individuals who would like to compete at the next level. The Skills Training Camp will include passing ball handling, shooting and defensive footwork, rebounding, screening and game strategies, along with 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. The Junior Beavers Camp will include individual skill development, fun competitions, prizes, 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. The price for participation is $50 for each.

Beaver Men’s Basketball will host its series of Youth Skills and Competition Camps over eight dates from June through August. BSU’s Youth Skills Camps has two weekday options, including every Monday from June 6-August 1 at 6:30-7:50 p.m. and every Wednesday from June 8-August 3 at 1:30-2:50 p.m. BSU’s Youth Competition Camps will be held every Wednesday from June 8-August 3 at 1:30-2:50 p.m. The youth camps cost $100 for one camp, $190 for two or $270 for three.

Bemidji State will also host a series of camps for high school boys including the BSU ID Camp, BSU College Prospects Shooting Elite Camp, BSU Team Camp and BSU Elite Camp. The BSU ID Camp will be held June 20 and 27, and July 11 and 18 from 6:30-7:50 p.m. and is limited to 24 participants for each date. The BSU College Prospects Shooting Elite Camp will be held June 21 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. followed by the BSU Team Camp June 23 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. The BSU Elite Camp will be held July 26 from 1:30-4:20 p.m.

All of men’s basketball camps will be directed by Head Coach Mike Boschee along with assistant coaches Mike Iseman and Maverick Harris and current BSU student-athletes.
