2010-11 (Junior): Kinnell played in 18 games and started twice… Averaged 8.2 minutes per game and tallied 1.2 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest… Posted a season-high seven rebounds at Jamestown Nov. 29, adding two blocks… Saw the court for a season-high 20 minutes at Northern State Dec. 17 and recorded four points and five rebounds… Named to the NABC Honors Court.

Pre-BSU: Kinnell played at Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Mo. for one season before transferring to Glendale Community College in Glendale, Ariz, where he played with fellow Beaver James Ellisor...He was a member of the Kofa High School varsity basketball team sophomore-senior seasons...He was a co-captain his senior year, earning a spot on the Southwest Rotary Classic All-tournament Team...Kinnell was named the team representative for Team Arizona at the Down Under Hoops Classic International Basketball Tournament in Sydney, Australia in the summer before his senior year where he was an all-tournament team member...He was selected most improved player by his teammates after his sophomore season...Kinnell was a member of the varsity baseball squad his junior season...A member of the National Society of High School Scholars, he was also member of the National Honor Society and the Kofa High School Key Club...His academic honors in high school followed into college, as Kinnell earned the John Harold and Bernice Hustsell Scholar Athlete Memorial Award at Moberly and was on the president’s list at both community colleges.
