CLEVELAND – A total of 73 student-athletes from Bemidji State University were honored Thursday, August 27 as recipients of the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Award.
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference’s Board of Directors has voted to cancel NSIC fall sport competition and championships, and has suspended all athletic competition through December 31, 2020.
Forty-one Bemidji State University student-athletes earned a spot on the 2019-20 Spring Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team, with 24 also meriting the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence recognition.
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Board of Directors voted unanimously to suspend all activities related to intercollegiate athletics and cancel the remaining 2020 spring conference competition and championships due to concerns of the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, late Sunday.
Bemidji State University men’s golf junior Brandon Nelson carded two-under par 214 (69-73-72) to finish third individually and lead the Beavers to a second-place finish at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Spring Invite held at the Antelope Hills South Golf Course in Prescott, Arizona.
The Bemidji State University men’s golf team begins its spring season Sunday, March 8 by traveling to Prescott, Ariz., to compete in the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Invite held at the Antelope Hills Golf Course.
