Beavers remain 19th after second round of super regional
PALM DESERT, Calif. (The Classic Club) -- The Bemidji State University men’s golf team remained 19th after day two of the 2010 NCAA Division II West/Central Super Regional at the par-72, 7,100-yard Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif. The Beavers shot a 310 Tuesday for a two-day total of 625 (315-310, +49).

The Beavers enter the final day of the three-day, 54-hole championship led by Jim Foss (Jr., Roseau, Minn.). The junior posted a five-over-par 78 to sit for 57th with a 75-78--153 (+9). Chris Curb (Fr., Bemidji, Minn.) and Casey Hill (So., Virginia, Minn.) each carded a 77, the low-round by a Beaver in round two, to place Curb tied for 62nd at +10 (77-77--154) and Hill tied for 85th at +14 (81-77--158).    

Chico State leads super regional at +1 (292-285--577). Brandon Harkins of Chico State owns a score of -4 (71-69--140) to hold a share of the lead with Gordon Webb (69-71--140) of Western New Mexico University over the field of 108 individuals after 36 holes.  

The third and final round of regional play gets underway at 7:30 a.m. PST with a Beaver scheduled in the first five tee times at The Classic Club.
