The unique conference tournament is comprised of five 18-hole rounds spread over six months. The first two rounds were set at Troy Burne Golf Course in Hudson, Wis. Oct. 2-3, 2010, while the final three rounds, including today, are scheduled for the par-71, 6,539-yard Jewel Golf Club.

Curb added his 75 (+4) to rounds of 82 (+10) and 78 (+6) from the fall portion of the event to sit tied for 17th at 22-over-par (235).

The Beavers’ third-round effort allowed them to leapfrog Northern State University (316-314-338--968 (+104) and into ninth place.  Bemidji State’s three round total of 324-319-308--951 (+87) leaves it just three strokes behind Augustana College (312-304-323--948 (+84)), which holds down seventh place and one stroke out of eighth place and Winona State University (326-309-315--950 (+86)).

St. Cloud State University leads the event at 302-298-301--901 (+37) with 36 holes to play.  The Huskies recorded a 301 (+13) today to slide into first place with a three-stroke lead over defending NSIC champion Minnesota State University, Mankato (305-294-305--904 (+40).

Adam Fields from Wayne State College (Neb.) sits atop the leader board as the only player under par after three rounds (69-74-69--212 (+-1).  The Wildcats’ top golfer fired a two-under-par 69 today to build his lead over Minnesota State’s Kyle Bahe (74-71-72--217 (+4) and the rest of the field to five shots.

Bemidji State and the rest of the NSIC Championship field will be back at The Jewel Golf Course tomorrow to compete in fourth round of the event.
