BEMIDJI, Minn. (Bemidji Town and Country Club) -- The Bemidji State University men's golf team finished sixth in the 63rd Annual BSU Invitational Monday at Bemidji Town and Country Club. The team carded matching scores of 310 to finish 21 strokes out of the lead.
Sophomore John Hafdal (Prior Lake, Minn.) carded a three-over-par 75 on day two to lead all BSU players with a 36-hole total of 78-75--153 (+9). He finished tied with four other players for 17th place.
University of Manitoba won the event carding a team score of 299-300--599 (+23). Individual medalist honors went to Winona State University's Alex Zeyen, who was the only player to complete the event under par, posting a 70-73--143 (-1).
The Beavers return to action Sept. 23-24 when they travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to complete in the Husky Classic.
