BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji State University Athletics has partnered with BIG Athletics to establish a five-year agreement that will outfit the Beavers’ 15 athletic programs in adidas® uniforms, apparel, footwear and equipment through the 2020-21 season.

"I am very excited for our student-athletes and coaches as we begin this new relationship with BIG Athletics and adidas," said BSU Director of Athletics Tracy Dill. "This partnership will allow us to outfit our teams in the finest apparel and align all of our programs with a consistent look in team gear."

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Bemidji State Athletics,” said Andy Long, BIG Athletics Vice President of Sales. “As members of the WCHA and NSIC, Bemidji State competes on some of the grandest stages in NCAA Division I and Division II athletics. We not only look forward to outfitting BSU student-athletes with premium footwear, apparel and uniform options, we are excited to provide BSU with branding and merchandising activities that will benefit the department for years to come.

After reviewing proposals from several athletic apparel and equipment companies, Bemidji State selected Chanhassen, Minn.-based BIG Athletics, which will partner with the university's athletics department in a variety of merchandising activities in addition to outfitting its teams. With adidas as its official uniform, footwear and apparel provider, Bemidji State joins some of the top collegiate programs across the country including: Arizona State, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, UCLA and more locally, South Dakota and Winona State.

Many of BSU’s teams will hit the field, pitch, court or course this fall in new adidas uniforms, beginning with the football team’s Sept. 1 season opener. Other programs will transition into the new look over the course of the agreement, as the teams’ continue their normal jersey replacement cycle.

Nestled in Northern Minnesota’s wooden region and located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, BSU sponsors 15 varsity athletic programs with NCAA Division I men’s and women’s hockey membership in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, while its 13 NCAA Division II programs hold membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
