BEMIDJI, Minn. (Bemidji Town and Country Club) -- Senior Aaron Leintz carded a day two 73 (+1) to finish two-over-par (146) to claim a share of second place individually and lead the Bemidji State University men's golf team to second place in the BSU Invitational Monday at the Bemidji Town and Country Club.
Led by Leintz, a trio of BSU of players finished with matching scores of 73 to climb out of third place after a round of 300 (+12) Sunday and post a 295 to finish second, just three strokes off the pace set by Minot State University (297-295=592). Freshman Matt Gregg and sophomore Will Czeh also posted 73s on day two.
The Beavers now turn their focus to Tahlequah, Okla. and the Northeastern State Men’s Golf Classic, Sept. 19-20. The 36-hole event will take place at the Muskogee Gulf Club.
