LEMONT, Ill. – Led by Matthew Gregg, the Bemidji State University men’s golf team finished ninth of 18 teams at the Lewis Flyer Intercollegiate Tournament held at the Cog Hill Golf and Country Club at Lemont, Ill. Gregg paced the Beavers by carding 228 (76-75-77) and tied for 20th individually.

Texas Wesleyan University took home the team title by shooting 886 (294-299-293) while Minot State University (301-295-297=893) and Minnesota State University, Mankato (301-295-200=896) finished second and third respectively.
Competing as an individual, senior Cody Cook also tied for 20th by shooting 228 (77-77-74) to compliment Gregg. Also contributing to the Beavers’ team score were Chris Swenson (80-72-78=230), Ian Mackenzie Olson (77-79-77=233), Tanner Sperling (77-83-77=237) and Brennan Hockman (83-79-81=243).
The Beavers complete the fall season next week when they travel to St. Joseph, Mo., to compete at the Missouri Western Central Region Invitational.
