ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Bemidji State University men’s golf senior Brandon Nelson carded 143 (70-73) at the Holiday Inn Express Classic held at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo., to lead the Beavers to an 11th place finish.

The Beavers totaled a team score of 610 (301-309) to finish 11th overall and fifth among Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competitors at the tournament. Behind Nelson, junior Seth Schricker tied for 25th individually with a score of 149 (71-78). Sophomore Jack Southard followed with a score of 156 (82-74) while freshman Tanner Wanous (80-84=164) and sophomore Koby Kuenzel (80-85=165) rounded out the Beavers’ five scorers.
Central Oklahoma University took home the team title with a low score of 569 (280-289) and finished five strokes in front of Washburn University. Washburn’s Dawson Wills won the individual title with a score of 137 (71-66).
Bemidji State concludes its fall season with the 11th place finish and will now prepare for the spring championship.
