WCHA.tv 'Trophy Package' takes you through the playoffs

EDINA, Minn. – With the race for the MacNaughton Cup entering a frenzied stretch drive, followed by an eight-team quest for the Broadmoor Trophy and the league’s playoff championship, the men’s Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) today announced a WCHA.tv “Trophy Package” that offers all remaining league games – regular season and playoffs – for $39.99 (minimum of 39 games and a maximum of 43).

“This is the best time of year for a college hockey fan, and we want to make sure they don’t miss a minute of the WCHA stretch drive and playoffs,” said WCHA Commissioner Bill Robertson. “The WCHA.tv ‘Trophy Package’ and options such as picture-in-picture and multi-view will let our fans take scoreboard-watching to a whole new level!”

There are 28 league games remaining and the top five teams in the standings are all still alive for the WCHA’s regular season championship, with the top three separated by just four points. Additionally, all 10 member schools are still in contention for the WCHA’s eight-team playoffs. Following the regular season, the WCHA.tv “Trophy Package” will also bring live (and archived) coverage of all four best-of-three league first-round playoff series, and then all three games of the 2016 WCHA Final Five.

In partnership with industry leader Stretch Internet, WCHA.tv allows fans to watch all 10 league teams on just about any device – computer, tablet, phone and many Smart TVs – with a responsive experience customized for that particular medium. High-quality HD streams, when available from the originating arena, are viewable in multiple screen layout options (including picture-in-picture, multi-view format to watch up to four games simultaneously and full-screen video).

The WCHA returns to action tonight (Friday, February 19) with a four-game league slate. The weekends of Feb. 26-27 and March 4-5 each feature a full schedule of 10 conference games apiece. The 2016 WCHA playoffs begin with best-of-three series on campus sites the weekend of March 11-13, while the Final Five will take place March 18-19 at the Van Andel Arena® in Grand Rapids, Mich.
