Serratore and Beauvais preview BSU's upcoming WCHA series at Northern Michigan

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State Head Coach Tom Serratore and junior defender Brett Beauvais talked to the media Tuesday to preview the Beavers' Oct. 14-15 WCHA series at Northern Michigan University.

The Beavers travel to Marquette, Mich. on the heels of a 2-1, 4-1 sweep over the preseason league favorite Bowling Green State University, Oct. 7-8.

In a series that got its start in 2009-10, BSU is 5-4-3 all-time versus the Wildcats and the Beavers are 2-1-2 in their last five meetings with NMU. BSU holds a 3-1-2 edge in series games played in Marquette with the only loss to the Wildcats on their home ice in the series finale, 3-1, a year ago.

The trip to Marquette also signifies BSU's first road trip of the season. Last year, the Beavers were 10-7-2 on the road.

The Beavers, now 2-0-0 on the season and 2-0-0 in WCHA play return to Sanford Center, Oct. 28-29 for a two-game league set versus University of Alaska Anchorage.
