Right on the heels of a five-point weekend at then-No. 11 Minnesota State University, Mankato and new No. 13 ranking in the national polls, the Beavers host the Wildcats for a Western Collegiate Hockey Association series this weekend after nearly three weeks away from Sanford Center.
The Beavers are 7-4-3 versus the Wildcats in a series that got its start in 2009 and since December 12, 2014, BSU is 5-1-2 versus NMU, which includes a pair of 2-0 victories in Marquette, Mich., Oct. 14-15.
BSU, now 9-2-1 overall and 9-0-1-1 in WCHA play, look to strengthen its grip on first place in the WCHA and remain unbeaten in league action this weekend's series gets underway at 7:07 p.m. Friday with a 7:07 p.m. start set for the series finale Saturday.
