BEMIDJI, Minn. – The Bemidji State University men’s hockey team recently completed a 22-16-3 season, won its 22nd regular-season conference championship, posted a Sanford Center record 13 home games, won post-season awards including Michael Bitzer’s WCHA Player of the Year and Tom Serratore’s WCHA Coach of the Year, and have possession of one of the most historic trophies in all of sport. BSU, Beaver Hockey and the Sanford Center invite the general public to help them celebrate 2016-17 and look ahead to 2017-18, from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11.
When Sanford Center’s Gate 2 doors open at 5 p.m., fans are invited to join BSU student-athletes, coaches and staff for a meet-and-greet autograph session. BSU faithful will also have another opportunity to see the MacNaughton Cup up close or pose for a photo with their favorite player, with The Cup or both. Sanford Center concession stands will be open all evening providing an opportunity for hot dogs, popcorn and beverages all for just $3 a piece.
In addition, Beaver Pride and athletic department staff will be on site providing season ticket holders an opportunity to renew their seats for the 2017-18 season and take advantage of a monthly payment plan option. Potential season-ticket holders will also get a chance to view available ticket locations, reserve their spot for the coming season, and to get a behind-the-scenes look around Sanford Center--one of the premier venues in collegiate hockey.
Season-ticket packages begin at just $275 per seat and include season tickets to both men’s and women’s home hockey games and any WCHA first round playoff action played at Sanford Center in 2017-18.
Beginning at $375 per seat, you become a member of Beaver Pride, “the Team Behind the Teams” that funds scholarships for BSU student-athletes. Beaver Pride tickets also come with an array of additional benefits including season tickets to all BSU home athletics events and membership discounts to the Gillett Recreation-Fitness Center on the BSU campus.
