Serratore looks ahead to Lake Superior State

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University head coach Tom Serratore met with the media Tuesday to preview the Beavers' upcoming Western Collegiate Hockey Association series at Lake Superior State and reflect on some of the things that have contributed to BSU's current four-game winning streak and seven-game unbeaten streak.

The Beavers travel to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. looking to continue its trend of recent success versus a Lake Superior State team that has been a thorn in their side since over the course of the last three calendar years. Since Jan. 16, 2015, BSU is 2-4-2 versus the Lakers. Since the teams first met in 1966, LSSU holds a 28-23-4 edge in the series, while posting a 13-11-3 when hosting BSU.

With all of that said, BSU is 2-1-1 in its last four meetings with LSSU and split a series with the Lakers in its last visit to Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., Feb. 12-13, 2016.

The Beavers and Lakers drop the puck at 6:07 p.m. from Taffy Abel Arena Friday and again Saturday.
