Serratore, Heller look ahead to Air Force series full of local ties

BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Bemidji State University Head Men's Hockey Coach Tom Serratore and senior captain Jordan Heller spoke to the media Tuesday to preview the Beavers' upcoming non-conference series versus the Air Force Academy.

Oct. 20 and 21 the Beavers face Air Force for the first time since 2009-10, but rekindle a rivalry started during BSU's early days of NCAA Division I hockey, as both teams were members of College Hockey America. Since thier first meeting in 1997, the teams have met on 33 occasions with BSU owning a 23-8-2 all-time advantage in the series, which includes a 12-1-2 mark in games played in Bemidji, Minn.

Opening face off for each night is 7:07 p.m.and tickets, begining at just $12, are still available for both games of the series.

Tickets can be purchased from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to the drop of the puck. Current or former members of the U.S. Military who buy a ticket and show military ID at the ticket window will get an additional ticket free of charge as the Beavers host Military Appreciation Weekend.
