BEMIDJI, Minn. -- With long-time rival Alabama-Huntsville headed to Bemidji, Minn. for a WCHA series, Bemidji StateUniversity Head Men's Hockey Coach Tom Serratore and junior forward Aaron Miller previewed the series and took a quick look back at a series split at Ferris State University in the team's regular media day.
The Beavers and Chargers open the series at 7:07 p.m. Friday, while the series finale is set for a 6:07 p.m. opening faceoff at Sanford Center.
Bemidji State holds a 51-32-5 lead in the all-time series and is 29-10-2 versus UAH in Bemidji, Minn.
A series that dates back to 1994, BSU and UAH has a rivalry that dates back to the NCAA Division II days. Prior to being charter members of College Hockey America, the teams met on four occasions in the NCAA Division II Championships, which included BSU defeating UAH in 1994 and at the John S. Glas Fieldhouse for the 1997 title.
