BSU and the Bulldogs split a series in Big Rapids, Mich., Nov. 15-16. Ferris State won the opener 2-1, but BSU bounced back to salvage a split in the series with a 4-2 win in game two on the strength of a pair of goals fomr Sillinger and Aaron Miller.
FSU owns a 16-13-4 advantage in the all-time series including an 8-4-2 edge in games playe din Bemidji, Minn.
The Beavers, now 8-7-3 overall wrapped up non-conference play with the game. They return to Western Collegiate Hockey Association action Jan. 3-4 when they return to Sanford Center to host Ferris State University. The two-game set is set for a 7:07 p.m. start Friday and will conclude with a 6:07 p.m. puck drop Saturday.
The Beavers welcome thier fans to help them celebrate the new year by offering a buy one, get one free ticket special this weekend. Buy one of the first 500 lower bowl tickets already reduced to $12 and get one free for either or both games versus Ferris State. In addition, fans are encouraged to bring thier skates Saturday and join the Beavers on the Sanford Center ice following the game for Skate with the Beavers.
