BEMIDJI, Minn. – The 43rd Annual Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament is set for Friday, August 28 at Bemidji Town and Country Club. The event benefitting the Bemidji State University Athletic Scholarship Fund originally slated for mid-June, and postponed due to COVID-19, has been modified for the health and safety of participants and staff.
Set as a five-person scramble, golfers will have the opportunity to participate in a number of on-course activities highlighted by a hole-in-one contest for a car provided by Dondelinger GM. Participants will also be treated to complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and brats while enjoying the majestic wooded setting of one of Northern Minnesota’s premier golfing venues.
Traditionally played in morning or afternoon flights, this year teams will be issued a morning or afternoon tee time for participation to avoid unnecessary congestion and allow teams to better social distance.
The cost to participate in the 2020 event is $135 per player, which includes green fees, a cart, a meal, tee prizes for each participant and more.
Registration for the 2020 Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament is being held exclusively online. Simply, visit https://bsualumni.org/gordy-skaar-memorial-golf-tournament/ to identify your team, make a payment and choose to play either in the morning or in the evening.
Non-golfers, or those who unable to participate in this year’s event, are invited to take part in an online auction featuring golf excursions, autographed collectables, event tickets and more. The auction will open Aug. 17 at https://bsualumni.org/event/43rd-annual-gordy-skaar-memorial-golf-tournament/ and will close Aug. 28. Items won in the auction can be claimed by contacting Kari Kantack-Miller by phone: (218) 407-0108 or email: [email protected] to arrange for the items to be picked up or shipped.
