Season-opening men's hockey series pushed back two days

BEMIDJI, Minn. – With the puck set to drop on the 2020-21 collegiate hockey season just in one week, Bemidji State University has announced that its season-opening series with Minnesota State University, Mankato, will be pushed back two days and will played Nov. 22-23.

The BSU men’s hockey team was originally scheduled to open the season at Sanford Center Nov. 20-21 for a pair of nonconference games versus No. 4/5 Minnesota State. With the new dates, the start times are being moved to 5:07 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22 and 3:07 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23.  Both games will still take place at Sanford Center.

Fan Attendance:
The Western Collegiate Hockey Association has developed a Return to Competition document that all league members must follow as we navigate hosting games during the COVID-19 pandemic.  We fully expect this document will change as we continue to evaluate best practices.  Our goal remains to provide a safe environment for the student-athletes, coaches, fans, and staff.

With that in mind, there will be no fans allowed for the first men’s home hockey series with Minnesota State Nov. 22-23.

While no fans will be allowed inside Sanford Center, there are still options for fans to follow the Beavers live. All games will again be streamed on FloHockey through the platform on a pay-to-view subscription basis. As always, all games will also be carried by RP Broadcasting and the Beaver Radio Network both online and on the FM radio dial.
