Played in 31 of BSU’s 37 games... Saw time in the first 17 games of the season before suffering an injury... Failed to record a point in the Beavers’ first seven games of 2009-10, but posted the first multi-point game of his career Nov. 7 to break into the scoring column. Potted a goal and added an assist to lead BSU to a 6-1 victory over Robert Morris... Netted a goal Nov. 27 as BSU knocked off top-ranked Miami (Ohio) in the Subway Holiday Classic (11/27/09)... The goal sparked a career-long, three-game scoring string as the forward added an assist the following afternoon versus Ohio State and scored a power-play goal Dec. 4 versus Niagara... Logged his first multi-goal outing Feb. 20, leading Bemidji State to a 6-1 victory over Niagara in the Beavers’ final game in the John S. Glas Fieldhouse... The first unassisted goal of the sophomore’s career came in a 3-2 victory at Ala.-Huntsville (3/5/10)... The Beavers were a perfect 5-0-0 in 2009-10 when he scored a goal.

2008-09 (Freshman)

Skated in 14 games a freshman forward... Made his BSU debut Oct. 18 at Air Force... Registered his first point as a Beaver with an assist at Ala.-Huntsville Dec. 5... Followed that up with another assist the following night... Cracked the BSU line up just three times after the beginning of February.

Prior to BSU

In one season with the Cornwall Colts Darcy Findlay posted a team-leading 44-38=82 points to sit eighth among all CJHL scorers, while his 44 goals ranked second in the league. He posted scoring streaks of nine and 10 consecutive games a year ago and 10 times scored three or more points in a game, which included six hat tricks. Findlay also exhibited himself as a special teams threat netting 15 power-play goals and potting a pair of short-handed markers.... He was selected to the CJHL All-Star team and was named as the RBC Canadian Junior “A” Championship MVP.

Prior to joining the CJHL, Findlay played at least a portion of three seasons in the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League. He began 2006-07 with the St. Jerome Panthers, which posted 42-10-2-0 overall record and a divisional championship during his run. He netted 12-18=30 points in the first 27 games with the Panthers before being traded to Cornwall. With the Colts he scored 15 goals and 19 assists to tie for second on the team with 34 points despite playing in only 28 of the teams’ 51 contests. In 2005-06 Findlay posted 28 goals and 18 assists for 46 points in 45 games to finish third on a College Champlain Cougars team that went 38-9-1-3 to finish second in the QJAHL.

In 2005, Findlay was selected by Central Scouting Service as a ‘Player to Watch’ for the NHL Draft.
