Scored the game winning goal against Lake Superior State (10/11/14)... Was named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week (1/21/14)... Was named to the All-WCHA Third Team... Was named Alternate Captain for the 2012-13 season... Played in 36 games where he notched 11 points (2g-9a)... Had a total of 66 blocked shots including nine blocks vs Minnesota (Mar. 15, 2013)... Was a member of the WCHA All-Academic Team.
2011-12 / Freshman
Played in each of the Beavers’ 38 games in 2011-12... Made his collegiate debut in BSU’s season-opening, 5-3 victory over nationally-ranked Miami (10/7/11), posting four blocked shots and a +2 plus/minus rating... Recorded a pair of assists to break into the collegiate scoring column, establish a single-game season-high and help Bemidji State to a 6-5 victory over Michigan Tech (10/21/11)... Logged a season-best three-game point scoring streak Dec. 16-30, posting an assist in each game... Netted his first goal in the green and white to propel BSU to a 5-4 triumph at Alaska-Anchorage in the team’s regular season finale (3/3/12)... Was a regular on the BSU power-play unit that finished fourth in the league at .220... Led all BSU players in blocked shots (83)... Led all Bemidji State rookies in scoring, finished eighth on the team and second among defensemen in scoring with 13 points (1g-12a)... Completed his freshman campaign tied for fifth on the team in assist scoring (12)... Finished among the top 25 scoring defensemen in the WCHA netting 0.36 points per game in league play as a freshman... Finished 18th among the league’s top-scoring freshman with a goal and 10 assist in WCHA play... Was one of five BSU players to finish the season with a postive plus/minus rating (+5).
Prior to BSU
Prapavessis came to Bemidji State after one year with the United States Hockey League‘s (USHL) Lincoln Stars... He finished the season seventh on the team and first among Lincoln defenders in scoring with 34 points (10g-24a) in 48 games... A vital player on the Stars’ power-play unit, he was second on the team in power-play goals (7) and helpers on the man advantage (11)... A true offensive threat from the blue line, Prapavessis recorded a point in 22 games with the Stars, which included a season-high four-point (2g-2a) night (1/19/11)--just one of eight multi-point games for the Oakville, Ontario native... Led the Stars to a 33-22-5 record and a fifth-place finish in the USHL’s Western Division and a berth into the 2011 playoffs... Prior to 2010-11, Prapavessis spent two seasons with the Mississauga Chargers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League... During his time in the OJHL, he piled up 77 points (14g-63a), which included a career-best 43 points (8g-35a) in 49 games to rank fourth on the Chargers roster in 2009-10.
