2015-16 / Freshman
Skated in 38 games as a freshman for the Beavers... Posted nine points with nine assists... Led the BSU freshman class in scoring and games played... Recorded his first collegiate point with an assist vs. North Dakota (10/16/15)... Blocked 52 shots and posted 37 shots on goal... Had a season-high three shots on goal three times, last at Bowling Green (3/12/16).
Prior to BSU
Eichstadt is coming off his first full season in the United State Hockey League. In 54 games for the Sioux Falls Stampede, the blueliner posted seven goals and 19 assists to lead all Stampede defenders and sit among the top 15 defenders in the league with 26 points, while he carries a +9 plus/minus rating. He posted three multi-point games in 2014-15, which included a career-best two goals in a 7-3 victory over Waterloo Jan. 16, 2015. Sioux Falls finished with a record of 32-23-5, and went on to win the 2015 Clark Cup Championship. Eichstadt posted seven assists in 12 playoff games. Prior to joining the USHL ranks, Eichstadt spent two seasons in the North American Hockey League (NAHL), most recently accumulating 35 points (4g-31a), which included 19 points (2g-17a) on the man advantage, in 51 games for the Aberdeen Wings under current BSU assistant coach Travis Winter. Eichstadt will be the third native of Bemidji to play for the Beavers since BSU made the move to the NCAA Division I level for the 1999-2000 season. He follows Brad Johnson (1999-2001) and current Beaver Jordan Heller. In 57 games for Bemidji High School from 2009-2012, Eichstadt was a member of two Lumberjack postseason teams and scored nine goals to go with 22 assists for 31 points.
Dillon Eichstadt was born to David and Susan Eichstadt on Feb. 7, 1994... Dillon is majoring in management and entrepreneurship at BSU... Uncle, Scott, played hockey at St. Cloud State... He is the third native of Bemidji to play for the Beavers since BSU made the move to the NCAA Division I level.
