Finished his career with 152 games played, 146 consecutive appearances and totaled 31 points (5g-26a)...Took a total of 40 shots on goal including a season-high three, three times during the season... Finished second on the team with 61 blocked shots... Helped the Beavers' penalty kill to second in the conference and 11th in the nation by killing 112 of 131 power plays (.855)... Named a 2018-19 WCHA Scholar-Athlete... Earned a spot on the WCHA All-Academic Team.
2017-18 / Junior
Played in all 38 games for Bemidji State... Recorded one goal and nine assists for 10 points... Matched a career-high with nine assists... Logged his first collegiate game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over Ferris State (10/28/17)... Recorded a career-best four-game point streak (4a) from Jan. 19-27... BSU was 7-2-1 when he posted a point... Took a total of 42 shots on goal, including a career high five shots at Princeton (11/24/17), while blocking 50 shots to rank second on the team... Tied for seventh on the team with a plus/minus rating of +1... Helped the Beaver defense to third in the WCHA in goals allowed and 15th in the nation (2.50 G/GM) as well as the best penalty kill in the conference and fifth in the nation, allowing only 18 goals in 133 opponent power-play opportunities (.865)... Named a 2017-18 WCHA Scholar-Athlete... AHCA "All American Scholars" recipient... Earned a spot on the WCHA All-Academic Team.
2016-17 / Sophomore
Billet appeared in all 41 games for the Beavers while recording two goals and nine assists to rank second among all BSU defenders with a career-high 11 points.... Leads the team, was fifth in the WCHA and 17th in the nation with 76 blocked shots and also tallied 54 shots on goal... Scored his first goal as a Beaver in a tie at Minnesota State (11/11/16)... Led a Beaver defense that ranked second in the nation in goals allowed (1.93 G/GM)... Played a key to the BSU penalty-kill unit's success, finishing the year snuffing out 139-of 158 opponent power-play chances (.880) and was 98-of-107 (.916) in league play... 2016-17 WCHA Scholar-Athlete.
2015-16 / Freshman
Played in 35 games as a freshman for the Beavers... Finished the season with four points off four assists... Recorded his first career point with an assist in a victory vs. Alaska (11/14/15)... Tallied 37 blocked shots and 25 shots on goal... Ranked second on the team with a +8 plus/minus rating.
Prior to BSU
Billett was a two-year veteran of the NAHL. In two seasons with the Aberdeen Wings, Billett totaled 19 points (3g-16a) in 72 games played. After being named as an alternate captain in 2014-15, Billett was limited to only 15 games due to injury. Billett joined the Beavers with current and former teammates, Michael Soucier and Dillon Eichstadt and Jordan Heller. Aberdeen clinched a spot in the NAHL Playoffs finishing fourth in the league's Central Division with a 27-31-2 overall record. In 2013-14, Billett recorded 13 points on two goals and 11 assists in 57 games. He also competed in the 2014 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, posting two points in four games. Prior to joining the NAHL, Billett lettered in hockey and baseball at Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana.
Daniel Billett was born to Rod and Marie Billett on Feb. 17th, 1995 in Columbia, South Carolina... Dan is majoring in business administration with emphasis in management and marketing and a minor in management information systems... Father, Rod, played golf at Ohio University... The second Colorado native to suit up for the Beavers.
