2017-18 / Senior/RS Struthers played in 13 games for the Beavers... Had a goal and two assists for three points... Took 18 shots and also blocked nine on the year... Scored his first collegiate goal in a 4-4 draw with Northern Michigan (12/9/17)... Logged his first multi-point game as a Beaver posting a career-high two assists to lead BSU to a 5-1 victory versus Alabama-Huntsville (12/30/17)... Finished sixth on the team in plus/minus with a +2 rating... Helped the Beaver defense to third in the WCHA in goals allowed and 15th in the nation (2.50 G/GM) as well as the best penalty kill in the conference and sixth in the nation, allowing only 18 goals in 133 opponent power-play opportunities (.865)... Signed a professional contract to play with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers.
2016-17 / Junior/RS
Played in 29 games for BSU as a redshirt junior... Ranked sixth on the team with 38 blocked shots... Recorded his first colelgaite point in the form of an assist in his 34th career game... Helped the Beavers defense that ranked second in the naiton in goals allowed (1.93 G/GM).... WCHA All-Academic Team.

2015-16 / Sophomore/RS
Did not see regular season action... WCHA All-Academic Team.

2014-15 / Sophomore
Sidelined due to injury... WCHA All-Academic Team.

2013-14 / Freshman
Saw action in seven games as a freshman... Recorded four shots on goal, two blocked shots and two penatly minutes. 

Prior to BSU
Played two seasons with the Weyburn Red Wings of the of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).  The defender finished 2012-13 with 23 points (6g-17a) to sit fifth on the team and second among Weyburn’s defensemen in scoring despite playing in just 37 of 54 games due to injury. With five of his six goals coming on the power play, Struthers ranked second on the team in power play scoring. Struthers posted four multi-point games from the Red Wings’ blueline, which included a season-best two goals in a three-point effort Oct. 9 and a three-assist night Jan. 20. Struthers also participated in the Dallas Stars’ 2012 Development Camp last summer (July 5-12).

Weyburn finished the 2012-13 regular season just short of the SJHL playoffs, taking sixth place in the league’s Sherwood Division with an overall record of 16-35-0-3.

Struthers piled up 47 points (11g-36a) in 79 games for Weyburn over the last three seasons. He also logged 17 games during the 2011-12 postseason, potting six points (1g-5a). He was named to the SMHL Second All-Star Team in 2010-11 after recording 32 points (12g-20a) in 42 games for the Regina Pat Canadians.

Born to Don and Rosanne Struthers Jan. 20, 1993... Carter is majoring in environmental studies and biology at BSU.
