Anchored the BSU defensive corps as a top-line defender in all 27 games. The senior logged a career-high 10 points (1g-9a) and nine helpers in 2020-21. Five (5a) of his 10 points game in 14 WCHA contests. His 37 blocked shots not only led BSU, but also ranked ninth in the CHA in 2020-21. Was a member of the BSU power-play unit. Was part of a penalty-kill unit that led the national and allowed a school record five power-play goals. Logged his first three collegiate multi-point games as a senior, which included a career-high two helpers to led BSU to a 4-1 victory over Minnesota State (1/29). Finished the season with a -9 plus/minus rating and two penalty minutes.

Appearing all 37 of the Beavers games in 2019-20, Vold established a career-best eight points from the BSU blueline as a junior... Opened the season with an assist in BSU's 4-4 draw with St. Cloud State (10/11/9)--it was his first collegiate assist... Often drawing the task of defending against BSU's opposition's top line, Vold was a key to a stingy penalty-kill unit... Also saw time on the BSU power-play netting a goal on the man advantage in a 2-2 tie at Lake Superior State (11/30/19)... His 39 blocked shots ranked second on the team... Had a season-high four shots against Ferris State (1/3/20) and four blocked shots versus Lake Superior State (11/9/19)... Finished the season with a +9 plus/minus rating and four penalty minutes.

Vold appeared in 30 games for BSU... Scored four goals for four points... Logged his first collegiate point on a goal in a 8-3 victory over Merrimack (11/9/18)... Blocked 10 shots... Ended the season with one penalty, 23 shots on goal and a -4 plus/minus rating.

2017-18 (Fr)
Vold played in nine games for BSU... Recorded a two shots on goal... Blocked six shots... Tied career-highs with one shot on goal against Air Force (Oct. 20) and two penalty minutes against Ferris State (Oct. 27).

Prior to BSU
Vold spent two full seasons in the North American Hockey League with the Minnesota Wilderness... In 59 of 60 games on the Wilderness' blueline in 2016-17, the captain Vold had six goals and 30 assists to rank ninth on the league's defensemen scoring list with 36 points... He averaged more than 0.61 points per game, logged a point in 22 games of the season, and posted 12 multi-point games, including a pair of three-assist nights... At the conclusion of the season, Vold was selected as the NAHL's Central Division Defenseman of the Year... Vold was also selected to compete for Team Central in the 2017 NAHL Top Prospects games in February 2017... In Vold's first NAHL season, he was a key contributor in leading the Wilderness deep into the playoffs... In 58 regular season games, he posted 26 points (2 goals and 24 assists) and finished the year as a +6 plus/minus.

Tyler Vold was born to Chad and Kerri Vold on Sept. 1, 1996... Tyler is a business administration major with a minor in entrepreneurship.
